Hi there,
Your article is generally very informative. However are you able to advise in relation to any delays at Harwich similar to those experienced at Dover throughout the summer?
Many thanks,
Brian
Hi Brian,
Many thanks for your kind words.
Harwich International is a very small port and doesn’t handle anywhere near the number of passengers as Dover, so the same delays won’t be experienced. I passed through the port less than two weeks ago and everything was fine then. The only thing to be aware of if travelling by train from London are the current strikes and knock-on effect with a few delayed/cancelled trains at the moment. I hope this helps!
Best wishes,
Steve
Hello I am traveling with my caravan on the morning sailing in July. Would you know if it’s ok to wait on the terminal if I arrive after the night sailing has left.
Hi Michael, I’ve just checked the Harwich International Port website and it says you can park there for 12 hours for £5.30 (though it doesn’t say anything about caravans). Best bet would be to give them a call and double-check. Number is +44 (0)1255 242000. Best wishes, Steve
